And who wouldn't be
Beguiled and bedazzled
By a devotion this stong?
Spanning decades,
Relentlessly winging its way,
Until it bursts like sunlight through leafy boughs
Or stars lying deep in dark waters.
A torrent,
Rushing through a narrow canyon,
Tumbling protestations
Like so many small stones,
I am swept away by your love.
